Meet our Executive Assistant
We are thrilled to welcome Alejandra Cabrera to The Schwaegerle Real Estate Team as the newest Executive Assistant! We’ve asked Alejandra to share a little bit about herself below. She is so excited to meet you all!Hello! My name is Alejandra Cabrera, and Iam the new Executive Assistant for The Schwaegerle Team. I have administrative assistant experience and am eager to learn more about Real Estate as I grow in my new role. I joined The Schwaegerle Team in May and have enjoyed being a part of this hardworking team since day one. I know with the help of my team I will grow in this business and become more knowledgeable about real estate. I can’t wait to help our business grow and walk alongside our agents and clients to create win-win transactions. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling as much as possible. Are you ready to take on a fixer-upper? 
Have you ever considered buying or investing in a fixer-upper? We have recently noticed a heightened demand for homes that require some sweat equity. Many people purchase fixer-uppers because they are eager to create the home of their dreams, interested in a new project, or simply want a good price on a property and are willing to work hard on it to make it more valuable. The thought of buying a home that is not move-in ready can be scary for some while others might find the challenge thrilling and exciting. While a fixer-upper is not for everyone, there can be some benefits to making this type of purchase if you are ready to tackle something new with the right team. Having an experienced agent who can guide you through searching for a home at the right price will make the world of a difference. We also highly suggest getting a home inspection to ensure that there aren’t any unwelcome surprises in the middle of your project. According to Dave Ramsey and his team at Ramsey Solutions, it is important to consider a few things in order to find the best fixer-upper:Location: Look for a home in a community that fits your lifestyle and that future buyers will like too. Buy the worst house in the best neighborhood!Appreciation: Find a home that will grow in value over time, do your research on this one and communicate your thoughts to your agent. Inspection: An inspection can confirm issues you already plan to fix, but can also reveal layout or foundation issues that prove to be too big of a project. When you take these things into consideration and have found the perfect home to fix up, that’s when the real work begins. It is very important to remember to budget accordingly so your fixer-upper can become your dream home–a place to create once in a lifetime memories.
Rent Prices Rising? 
With rent prices reaching a new high, it might be time to consider purchasing a home rather than continuing to put your money in someone else's pockets. Rent prices began steadily increasing in January 2021 and have reached a new high as of April 2022. This has been a compound effect from a decrease in rental availability and skyrocketing purchase prices of homes. With the rise of interest rates, many first time homebuyers are shying away from making a purchase now and are renting longer than anticipated. However, we are still encouraging people to explore their options and reach out to our team to help explore homeownership opportunities. Believe us, you’ll save so much money in the long run!

How’s your HVAC System?
Having a good HVAC system in your home can really help you enjoy your living space throughout the year. A solid system will keep your home cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and overall just so much more comfortable. Proper maintenance can keep your HVAC system running smoothly for years, ensuring that your home’s internal climate stays exactly the way you want it. One of the most common HVAC improvements is improving the overall air quality in your home, filtering out impurities and eliminating particles in the air that could possibly make you sick. Air cleaners and air purifiers are readily available for a number of systems, trapping things as small as bacteria, viruses, and allergens that are too small to be seen by the naked eye.
