Educated and empowered - our goal for you We had such a great time hosting our first homebuyer workshop of the year last week. It was a joy to get to know new people and start the important conversation of homeownership. We believe in educating and empowering every person about the power of real estate. Missed out on the workshop and want an overview of what we talked about? Reach out today! We’d be happy to meet with you at your convenience to talk about the home buying process. We know that our most educated clients are our most successful clients. We are here for you every step of the way, even if you are brand new to the real estate game. Send us all your questions, and let’s set up a time to chat!
New home, who dis? Due to high construction costs, economic factors, and high mortgage rates, there has been a recent dip in sales and construction for new homes. The National Association of Home Builders commented, “New home construction could see a turning point in both the housing market and the overall economy in the second half of 2023.” What does this mean? New home supply will increase for homebuyers in the market. This change could come sooner than expected as the Federal Reserve continues the fight against inflation. According to Chief Economist Robert Dietz, “This forward momentum will lead to a calendar year gain for single-family starts in 2024.” Want to learn about the new construction developments in our county? Reach out to us today, and we’d be happy to share about the new communities and how to be first in line to purchase one!
Everyone wants to know about mortgage rates As of February 2, mortgage rates have fallen a full percentage point since November. This has allowed many hopeful buyers to get back into the market. While the Federal Reserve continues its fight against inflation, rates are expected to stabilize over the next few months and slowly decrease at some point in the future. Nadia Evangelou, Senior Economist and Director of Real Estate Research at the National Association of Realtors states, “There is finally light at the end of the tunnel for many Americans, as they now earn more than the income needed to purchase a mid-priced home. With rates now below 6.1%, many Americans earn about $5,000 more annually than the qualifying income needed to purchase a home.”
