Through November 4, you can drop off food at The Schwaegerle Team's office at 3591 Sacramento Dr #116 in San Luis Obispo, and we'll deliver every bag to New Life Food Pantry on November 5. The pantry's most-needed items right now are breakfast staples, canned vegetables and beans, pasta and sauce, and protein-rich soups and bars. Every item helps.

Why we're collecting for New Life Food Pantry

New Life Food Pantry, a partner of the SLO Food Bank, is feeding around 200 to 300 families every week in our county. Even with that partnership, their shelves run low, and this time of year is when they run out most often.

We're a locally owned brokerage, and we're raising our kids in this community. Every year before the holidays, we run a food drive to help stock local pantry shelves. This year our goal is simple: fill New Life's shelves before the holiday rush. One can, one box, one bag at a time.

What does New Life Food Pantry need most?

These are the top items the pantry asked us to collect:

Category Items
Breakfast Pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal, jelly
Canned goods Canned corn, canned carrots, canned beans
Dinner staples Pasta, pasta sauce
Protein Soup with protein, protein bars

Want an easy idea? Put together a "pancake breakfast" bag with mix, syrup and jelly, or a "spaghetti night" bag with pasta, sauce and a can of beans or corn. Items outside this list are welcome too.
